Rarity, my Shiny Ponyta

Ponyta, the Fire Horse Pokemon. As a newborn, it can barely stand. However, through galloping, its legs are made tougher and faster. Its hooves are ten times harder than diamond and can trample anything completely flat in little time.

He was named after my fave My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic character, Rarity

On Pokemon X, I finally got the shiny Ponyta I've been looking for for a long time!!! And yes, I named him Rarity b/c I've always wanted to name a shiny Ponyta, whether male or female, that.

Rarity was given to Ditto as an egg from a rancher who was giving them away to trainers who were passing by. Needless to say, she was rather stunned when her Ponyta turned out to be a male shiny. He took a real liking to Ditto rather quickly and would nuzzle and curl up next to her when she took breaks from traveling. Ditto is also the only one Rarity will allow to touch his flaming mane and tail without getting burned.

He isn't keen to strangers and will bite or burn them or anyone else who comes near him. He loves to run around, testing how fast he can go and will often challenge the other Pokemon to a race. When he's agitated or annoyed, his mane and tail will flare hotter and larger, warning others to stay clear.

Rarity is rather vain of his looks and tries to stay as clean as possible, having Ditto brush him and polish his hooves twice daily. He isn't fond of water and usually steers clear of the water-types on her team.

Rarity is currently at Level 34, has a Bold Nature, and the Ability, Flame Body, which may inflict a burn on a Pokemon that he comes in contact with. His current moveset is: Inferno, Fire Blast, Bounce, and Flare Blitz.
